Agree with all of the above. A strangely flat evening though I must compliment the support from behind the goal. They started louder than at any time this season. Unfortunately the team couldn't match their enthusiasm and everything got rather pedestrian. We seemed to run out of ideas and energy in the run-up to what now feels like the inevitable sucker- punch goal. Credit to Darlington. Good side. But were they really that good?

I think they defended superbly well. All over the pitch they made it difficult. Fashioned a few good chances. Didn’t they have two really good chances within ten mins of the restart?Harry Aire wrote: Wed Jan 22, 2025 2:11 pm Agree with all of the above. Considering they’ve come away to top of the league, a side that scored 12 times in five games, won the game and kept a clean sheet I’d say they were pretty good. Will be one to watch for the play-offs along with Chester, Brackley, Scunny, KL etc.
