Ideally we get a proven in but we appear to have failed in that task. Hard to get good players in anyway but more so now than compared to summer.
Providing they’re ready for a physical battle they’ll be ok. If they have the impact Reynolds has then brilliant.
But let’s not likes of hesketh and Cadogan who clearly were no where near ready for that battle

if you couple goals with clean sheets you've a recipe for success

I don't think it's Kobi.
Can confirm theres a new lad training with us and if its meant to be the lad from villa looks closest to charlie lutz. not too sure thoughPhil wrote: Thu Jan 30, 2025 3:06 pm Charlie Lutz, Rory Wilson and Kobei Moore are all listed as CF's and 20 years old according to the Villa offy site.
I'd be happy with one of those. Have to be really.
been speaking to someone who knows someone that plays for villa. said villa have had it confirmed a few days now. seen him down at the training ground today too

Well if that’s the level of aspiration the club has, no disrespect to the lad but is he a better option than Kobe hall. I’m baffled that the club have lost or not thought a player fits in, I’m sorry buts that’s desperation! Hope the lad proves me wrong

JJ Melligan Riley Reynolds mark Clyde Wes Morgan Andy bishop Joe Foulkes Ben Whitfield all young lads who did well. Let’s not panic though I get the requirement for a more experienced proven player. This issue should have been addressed in the summerIreland Simon wrote: Thu Jan 30, 2025 7:32 pm Well if that’s the level of aspiration the club has, no disrespect to the lad but is he a better option than Kobe hall. id of rather an experienced player but the scouts/ brown must’ve seen something in him that fits the style of play and looks good to sign him unless it’s just last resortIreland Simon wrote: Thu Jan 30, 2025 7:32 pm Well if that’s the level of aspiration the club has, no disrespect to the lad but is he a better option than Kobe hall. Smacks of desperation imo. Yes, we’ve had some successful loans over the years but also countless players making little impact. We need someone who knows the level, who can come in and hit the ground running, cope with the physical demands of this league and take the goalscoring pressure off Hemmo and Amari.
If this 20 year old can come and do this (in what will be his first senior loan I think ?) then he’s going to be some player.

Doesn't sound overly promising. I think Ibbotson was banging them in at that level(?) and wasn't quite good enough... Lutz isn't banging them in at that level.
Update: Looks like he scored more goals in previous seasons, including a hat-trick against Alvechurch.
