Blackburn's owners refusing to long term plan, and just wanting to survive each season is one of the main reasons they churn over managers. Lots of the current squad is out of contract in the summer, and John wanted to bring in players on long term contracts but the board refused, going for loans instead
Derby have triggered the £500k needed to chat to John and I highly suspect he will go given that Derby want to be back in the Premier league

Eustace was shafted by the takeover at Birmingham, and it looks like a similar situation developed at Blackburn.
