After 25 years of doing this website, and also my ongoing health problems, I have decided that I cannot continue with previews and reports of games any longer. Last night we got back from Marine gone midnight and I quickly did a few edits to the front page of the website etc and that took until gone 1.00am before going to bed.
I was back up at 7.30 doing more bits before going for a medical appointment mid morning that took 90 minutes. I then returned home and did more bits with my intention being to write the report up myself. Sod it, I thought, and copied and pasted the Kidderminster Shuttle report instead. This is happening far too often now and cannot continue because it devalues the website in my eyes.
They are very good reports by the Shuttle though.
So the plan going forward is that I will no longer be doing the aforementioned because of the time it takes to prepare the pages three days in advance, write a preview on the Thursday evening/Friday morning and then go to a game, look at the timer on my phone, take notes and also try and watch the actual game. Then come back and spend a couple of hours writing the report up.
I want to get back to the enjoyment of seeing us play and win (wouldn't we all)
I will no longer ask on here for someone to do reports due to then having to quickly set up pages and graphics for a one off match report when I'm trying to stop doing it.
So it's a big thank you to Harry, Tony, Shane and all the others in the past that have chipped in to help and for that I am eternally grateful. Your help has been magnificent.
I will still do the other bits like the front page, fixtures/results, statistics, new player profiles, updating profiles and the occasional important news items like new managers etc.
And don't worry. The forum will continue and I'll be making plans for that to continue long after I'm gone.
So there we have it. I'm stepping back and at the same time you won't see much change anyway. I bet most of you don't go further than the forum anyway?

Thanks to all on here that contribute in any way small or large and long may it continue.
Phil...
