I have a lot of time for Downing as a defender but sadly he also seems to have an ability to pick out a couple of amazingly bad passes each game.

How many times this season have we dropped points versus far inferior opposition at home? Surely this is the one where we deliver and send the fans home happy, one can hope but anything can happen in this league and we mustn't get complacent.
I can see McNally fitting in at RWB with Downing at CB still.
Any talk of Zak Brown being pulled out of position is ludicrous and a cat in hells chance of Seb Thompson being recalled to fill the void. Zak was unreal Tuesday, why spoil that by moving him out of position. Seb Thompson was superb in the position versus Sutton and was then oddly dropped for weeks then shipped out on loan after a rumoured bust up with P.Brown at training - I don't think we'll see Seb in a Harriers shirt again.
Reynolds is the only other I can think but that'll make the bench options even more limited.
Any of the returning from injury players will be a huge boost- surely one can't be too far away?

How many times this season? How many times in the last 25 years? It's the Kiddy way.Golin Cordon wrote: ↑Thu Mar 20, 2025 10:30 pm How many times this season have we dropped points versus far inferior opposition at home? PB alludes to other possibilities (Hewett, Rubio?) but I suspect it'll end up being McNally at RWB and Downing in at the back (the latter would benefit from some game time although it would mean having no defenders on the bench.)
Based on his awful 10-15 mins at RWB away at Oxford, surely Reynolds won't play there again - Zak made a much better fist of it that day when he took over but he needs to maintain his partnership with Kandola in the middle.
I don't get the obsession with Seb, seemingly based on one game against Sutton (which I admittedly missed) - I haven't seen enough in his other appearances that I have witnessed to suggest he adds value to the team.
Am not expecting us to smash Needham (I think there will still be effects from Tuesday's shift) but I am expecting/hoping for a professional performance to get the job done...

Phil Brown never fancied Seb when he was available- even less so now he's not available so to speak

Agree with not moving Brown and think he'll go with like you said Downing CB Mcnally out wide. Think Seb is done here, shame but is what it isGolin Cordon wrote: ↑Thu Mar 20, 2025 10:30 pm How many times this season have we dropped points versus far inferior opposition at home? Cant se Rubio or Hewlett coming into the side, Rubio is on loan. Hewlett is a left footer. He may end up sticking Devine on the right and Richards LWB, which I hope doesnt happen. We cant tear that left hand side of CB RD and MK up, it works too well for it to be disrupted, same with Brown and Kandola.

It does seem that once PB takes against you there's no way back. When Jo got injured I assumed Seb would get a run in the team but no. I think he's a good player who needs someone to show a bit of faith in him but, as stated above, it doesn't look as if that's going to happen here. Seems to be thriving elsewhere.

My opinion on seb is that do we actually know he and phill brown fell out or is it just rumours??Also the games seb played yes he put himself about and is a tryer however to get out if this league you need men not boys. Im not being disrespectful as I'm sure seb will one day make it and good luck to him. However has not the metal of AMS mcnally Morrison to name a few . They are the sort of players needed to get out of this league. Im sure Phil Brown is more qualified than us on here to put the vest team out that he can Tommorow. All I care about is 3 points. Whether it be 6-0 or 1-0.

PB got very animated about our cumulative 126k covered against Scunnie, saying it was the most distance covered of any game this season.
If you discount Dibs, 12k average per outfield player sounds very impressive to me?
It suggests they are in good shape (and willing) coming into the tail end of the season. With two games a week I expect it’s just cotton wool time now as far as training goes.
I know it’s not the most valuable statistic in isolation, but one that PB obviously attaches a lot of importance to.
It also suggests the rumours of a few weeks ago of ‘losing the dressing room’ are now dead and buried.

Feel it would be very Harriers today to drop points after Tuesday.
Not sure how Brown is going to address the RWB issue. I feel the only two options are McNally or Reynolds

I'll start then...
A comprehensive win, great to see another hat trick for Hemmo, and the only sore spot was the soft goal we conceded.
Dibble's 'injury' enforced team talk and reshuffle paid dividends almost immediately. Great, unexpected flick on by Zac, led to Hemmo's easy finish.
Second half saw Needham run out of legs after their press and we capitalised. Great moves for both Hemmos 2nd and Kouhyar's goal. Ryley was bang on form again, and apart from Hemmo, my MOTM for that second half.
Interesting approach by the referee, only letting the lino award something if he had waved for it first. Novel approach.
Any info on Kandola's injury?
Big shift needed on Tuesday now. Surprised Hemmo wasn't taken off late on to save his legs. 25 goals now. Who was the last striker who got that many?
