Thought Devine really missed Kouhyar today, they work so well together. Didn’t think Tope offered much and he does really lack pace.

We really do miss Maz when he's not in the side, his direct running and step overs are a nightmare for defenders at this level. He doesn't always have the end product but he keeps defenders on their toes!

I always worry a little bit about how disjointed the team looks when we make our 2/3 customary subs towards the end of games. Totally get that we need to save legs but it makes me nervous! Hopefully we have unassailable leads by this point on Monday and Saturday!

Weird feeling as it's too early to celebrate anything yet, but to have it in our own hands is massive. COYR.

Good to see Gold repay some of the transfer feee to score a pivotal goal in our campaign.
Agree with a lot that has been said. Not at our best but job done. Conditions didn’t really help. I am not a fan of these astro pitches either. Rushall battled very hard were very compact and without trying to quote our manager they put bodies on the line. Nice set up there, lovely people, hope they made some decent money to put towards a promotion bid next season. Boathouse a nice boozer too. Thought McAlinden was very very good for them wouldn’t mind him here. Benbow continues to cause us problems like he did for Stourbridge.
Maz was missed as tope was well off it though he did earn his place in the eleven but was off it yesterday. Before the goal we looked a bit flat, agree re Devine missing Maz. We only looked like we were going to do something when hemmo got on the ball in the pockets infront of ams or when we, eventually, got the ball to Worrall.
Nothing wrong at all with Ams goal. Ref bottled it Their keeper knew it. Their fans behind that goal knew it. Ams seemed to loose his head a bit so the goal was a great time not only for us but for him. Devine brilliant ball and these headers are becoming a Hemmo trademark.
Second half comfortable even after their goal, didn’t create anything after. It did seem a bit tense in the crowd after but i wasn’t all that concerned. We have some quality and some experience and streetwise players. Was always going to be enough against them.
MOTm for me Davis who does the unnoticed stuff week in week out brilliantly and helps brown control the midfield. He capped another top performance off with a goal so gets my vote. Wasn’t many stand outs if I’m Honest. The usual consistency from the back three and brown. Thought ams was well off it again. Roberts looked neat and tidy. Beresford has hardly played. 15 mins the last 4/5 games after a huge lay off. Yes we need more but to ask him of that is a bit unrealistic. Begs the question again of why didn’t we bring someone in. He did however show some half decent moments in flick ins and holding it up. If we are on top and bombsrding a goal then he will be an asset, he a proper poacher IMO.
Like you Sheff, a poorly planned holiday for me though will be at Southport. Love the Isle of Wight (our hol destination) and usually look forward to it more than our abroad holidays but this one is a bit different absolutely gutted to be missing Monday.
if you couple goals with clean sheets you've a recipe for success

Thanks for all the match reports. I followed the first 30 on H&W before entering a Neolithic tomb on Orkney.

Luckily the guide was a fascinating veteran archaeologist or I would have been checking Flashscores every 5 minutes and trying to get a signal.

Emerged just as it was confirmed we’d won and Scunthorpe had lost.

I’ll be there Monday wedged between glory-hunters, (sorry I mean welcome new fans ;))

Good morning from a torquay fan, been following your ascent up the league and hoping that we both can meet next season in the national, haven't been to your ground for maybe 9 years since we last met, always remember you had the best food of any ground we visited that season. Good luck your nearly there.

Laughable decision to disallow AMS' goal.

Couple of old boys I know are massive Walkie Talkie fans, they only get the chance to go to Plainmoor a couple of times a year so they're understandably hoping that we both get promotion. They both live near Pershore so it's only a twenty odd mile jaunt up the road to Kiddie. I'd quite fancy a trip down the M5 for a change myself so good luck.

PS don't build your hopes up too much on the food front.

AMS was moving, towards the obvious path of the ball, when the goalkeeper kicked it. It’s a goal for me but I think the officials could make a weak argument to rule the goal out if the flag has gone up right away. The assistant referee should have seen what was happening and made the call right away. I don’t know what they have to discuss. The referee wasn’t looking at it, he was looking at where the ball was likely to land - I saw him as I was also looking in the same place, so despite having been at the game I saw it for the first time on YouTube. I’d love to hear their explanation.

Why do you say that? I never eat at the ground but that's not down to the food it's just i haven't eaten at the ground for about 20 years but I have heard it's pretty good at the moment. It looks decent.

Bearing in mind I'm replying to a Torquay fan who probably hasn't been to Kiddie for the last ten years when Murdoch did the catering. I used to have one of the cheese & onion pies most home games, nine times out of ten they were spot on, we had a name in the game nationwide for the soup and cottage pies etc. Since Murdoch's departed the scene imo the food is standard pap, I've had the occasional burger when I've been starving and it's been ok but no better. Other opinions are valid but I'll stand by mine.

I can confirm that the cottage pies in the away end at Aggborough (today, £6) are excellent. Say yes to the extra gravy.
