An exceptional day of news that was.

Russ Penn recovered from being hammered 4-0 at home by until then, winless Hitchin at the weekend to win 1-0 last night. Funny old game.

Watching Sgorio on SC4 as part of my half-hearted attempts to learn Cymraeg and came across Ben Margetson playing for Barry Town (also a Steely Dan song off Pretzel Logic) and Keyon Reffell turning out for table toppers, Penybont.

Keyon's been there for ages. Didn't know Ben had left Pontypridd though

I noted that Adrian Cieslewicz is still turning out for TNS, now in his 11th season there after leaving Kiddy. They played away to Fiorentina on Thursday and he came off the bench.

It must be an amazing experience for some of these 'Oswestry Town' :) players pitting themselves against one of the giants of Italian football and keeping the scoreline down to 2-0. Add in the fact that one of them was once one of us.

I was at Rugby Town v Worcester City today and read in their programme that a 39(!) year old Exodus Geohaghan has come out of retirement to play for Shepshed Dynamo at Step 4 😳

Would that be CAPTAIN Exodus Geohagen in a 0-3 Home defeat today?

Surprised he’s dropped so far, looked a really decent player.

I watched a pod cast earlier this week regarding young Premier League players that have tons of skill and ability - but have the wrong mind set and end up dropping down the leagues (Nile Ranger and John Bostock were players specifically mentioned)

''Premier league ability with non-league mind sets'' was the phrase used specifically

Whilst I'm not suggesting NCP was Premier League quality - you get the point of why players drop down sadly
