Not seen anything mentioned about AM having an assistant. I was discussing this earlier with my mate Rusty and our combined thoughts were that Morgs could be used in a player coach/assistant roll.
Thoughts?
Murray's number two.

That sounds like a reasonable idea. If AMS is looking to get into coaching he could begin his apprenticeship here.

My take (without any specific knowledge) is that PB spent limited time at Aggborough and probably did none of the coaching. I assume that AM will be far more hands-on and will not therefore want a first team coach as a number 2 - but I could be 100% wrong.

Ex Harriers manager Stuart Watkiss was Adam Murrays assistant at Eastbourne for a while

I think he'll need a number two, cant do it on his own. Wont have an issue with Watkiss returning to support Murray.
I think summerfield as a player coach could work

On the off chance the offy web site would list a number 2, I had a look. Seems PB is still in charge.........

I find it odd that a number 2 or a coach hasn’t been appointed yet and I will be surprised if he starts the season without either. Assume Dan Ludlow (fitness coach) and a physio on placement will be in place. Is Tonks still scouting? Assume PBs Scout has gone.
It may be he’s waiting for the right get people to be ready to be contacted at the right time re: back room staff.
I think the thinnest we’ve ever been in terms of back room staff is back in the early 00s when we just had Ian Britton and Conway.

Dan Ludlow is more then likely going to be the assistant
I want Stuart Watkiss to come back - if only just to do the ‘reveal all’ forum he promised us back in 2006!tonythescout wrote: ↑Fri Jun 06, 2025 8:29 am I think he'll need a number two, cant do it on his own. Wont have an issue with Watkiss returning to support Murray.

Sounds like the sort of event where it should be adults only!Soupy wrote: ↑Tue Jun 10, 2025 11:35 amI want Stuart Watkiss to come back - if only just to do the ‘reveal all’ forum he promised us back in 2006!tonythescout wrote: ↑Fri Jun 06, 2025 8:29 am I think he'll need a number two, cant do it on his own. Would be a very wryly amusing full circle of events.
