Solihul now Brackley....perhaps he has a fear of playing in front of crowds?
In league above so you can't complain and it appears Murray perhaps prefers players who can play a bit as well from the back, not Morrison's strong point.

The players bought in are just as good. You could argue Tunniclife is better based on his CV alone. Morison hasnt been in the ELF, Tunnicliffe has.
Obi has won the league, though I do think mcnally going is a blow but its a like for like replacement at rcb, and more pace. Bird is a natural cb, Richards wasnt.
Either way the replacements and the activity is good. Its not as if we are signing the likes of Rowe-Turner and having Styche lead the line and gambling with the likes of Gurjit Singh.
Bar a 3/4 squad players we are a striker away from a very, very good first 11.
if you couple goals with clean sheets you've a recipe for success

One thing is certain. This is now Murray's Team. So if we do well we will be heaping praise on him. Unlike Mr Slot he has not come in and said "a good team that just needs a couple of tweaks." I get the impression he wanted a total overhaul and little effort was made to retain some of our favourites from last season. If it all works that'll be great. If it doesn't...

This is surely pure conjecture? It's entirely possible that Dean Holdsworth told AM when he arrived that a number of players had been clear that they'd be leaving - which was what most fans expected them to do anyway?

Which isn't to say that it's not AM's team now, which it very much is. Just that we don't really know how it unfolded.

Exactly. We can't know what went on but I certainly got the impression that the likes of Zack for example were told they'd hesitated too long and their time was up. His final message suggested that. It's clear the new manager has a style of play and a group of players he trusts and that's fine. My only real point was that if it all falls flat there's only one person to blame and if it's a triumph, as I really hope it is, we know who to thank and praise. This is not always the case when a new manager inherits a team.

I feel like you're implying that AM essentially pushed out a few players and I'm not sure that's anything more than guesswork/assumption.

Don’t know if it’s the right place to post this..

Caleb Richards Dad posted up on Facebook last night to thank all the Harriers fans for their support over the last 5 years and individual messages to Caleb wishing him well for the future. He’s also been quite honest and open with replying to peoples comments

It’s clear Caleb would have stayed given the chance, he loved it here, and that he’s looking for a new club down South now as his girlfriend is from London. He’s said it won’t be Brackley he ends up at though!

Don’t get this. I assumed Caleb had got a move lined up but from the comments on this Facebook thread it would appear he wanted to stay. I recognise that a new manager wants his own players but we’re talking about our most consistent player for the past 3-4 years. Seems incomprehensible that we wouldn’t wish to have kept him. Guess we’ll never really know.

Sorry I think you are wrong. It is obvious (as with all managers in all divisions) they have to take into consideration is the player worth the money they are asking? Can I look elsewhere and use the Budget saved on a couple of Strikers? Can i get as good or better players to replace them? Will he fit into my system? Why is he taking so long to make a decision on staying? Could I loose the players I am talking to? The manager will win or fail on his decisions. Finally last season if we hadn't had the injuries at a bad time and we did had the squad to deal with it we would have walked the league. Think of how many points we lost because of it.

It’s weird isn’t it .
Steady Eddie in a rock solid defence that saw us one game from automatic promotion.
Good luck to our new manager he must be confident he knows best .
Complete rebuild in the back four is never easy.

I’d agree but considering two of them have already played together and the other is an experienced EFL player I don’t think it’ll be as hard as you think

I think we are going over old ground regarding Caleb.

The thread titled "Caleb Richards" established that an offer was made to him (which he did not accept) but that this was withdrawn by the club immediately before Pierce Bird was signed.

Sadly I suspect that he will have to go part time as there are few full time clubs in National League South. Whatever the outcome, good luck to him as he has been a very loyal servant to Harriers.
