Innocent wanted to stay then but was effectively let go.

Our ‘guns for hire’ culture is part of the root cause of our problem.

Many players have limited affinity to the club.

The constant chopping and changing of the mediocre squad and starting XI is not helping either.

Odd that AM wouldn’t be trying to push the boat out to sign him, unless he changed his mind. Who knows, but it does seem strange that AM’s gone out of his way to get him here after managing him last season, he wants to stay (allegedly) but we can’t do a deal after 6 weeks or whatever it is.

Sadly Stewart didn't play for Eastbourne, Fylde or in the Conference South - so not known to Murray. Nevermind!

You are right - should have been the sort of player we'd go after. Maybe we did. But hard to see where he would have fitted in
