I do believe there are folk on here who would be moaning if we had signed Ollie Watkins from Villa!
Welcome Charlie Lutz hope you like it here an do well for us and silence the moaning minnies.
We haven’t signed Ollie Watkins though…… :-)
Maybe more signings to come given news of Ox.

Well it seems my comment as stirred the pot, thought was the idea of a forum you agree or disagree. As I said in my post hope the lad does well so I haven’t written him off, more a disappointment with the club and scouting. Other nln rivals seem to pick players up especially that lad from Redditch so what’s the issue with our club. I agree that players in the past haven’t worked out and sometimes blind by what you’re getting but we are close to promotion and need to grasp the nettle. If the lad performs I be the first to say I’m wrong as it benefits the club with goals. There u go cheers

When did we last sign a player - loan or otherwise - from the Villa?

That is a long time ago. Makes you wonder why we don't have better links with our local big clubs.

Wonder if they are contributing more to his wages for the rest of his spell?

Was it the year we were relegated we had Kinsella and Toner from them?

Yes that’s right.

Teams higher up the pyramid often patronise some non league clubs more than others as 'nurseries' to blood their youth players out on loan.
In the past Wolves and Hednesford this type of close relationship.

I appreciate why people are skeptical over another youth prem level signing as its historically a hit or miss situation - but let's give him a chance.
Hes at a premier league club for a reason and highly thought of by all accounts.
This last week or so Kobe Hall, Samsung Hewitt & The Ox have been sent out or deals extended - so let's hope this is because we have at least another one incoming

Let's hope Mr Hewitt doesn't phone it in!

Albion sign 19yr old U21 striker from Spurs.
On paper not much difference from us signing a 20yr old striker from Villa. Probably better for us considering where Spurs are in the table.
