Chris McPhee in a 1-0 win against Wrexham, February 2011

Chris McPhee stepped up to take it and quickly sent it goalwards and the underside of the crossbar. The ball richotched (sic) down and around the net for a winning penalty but not the best you'll ever see taken.

Good old Maz. How did we not go up last year with players like that?

Because we couldn't beat Rushall at home?

Lots of elements to why we didn’t win the league whether it’s failing to beat alfreton and Rushall at home or brown not signing a decent back up to aMs or persisting with McNally at right wing back before Worrall but ultimately it’s cos we absolutely swallowed at Southport.

They really are slipping down the league aren't they. Could well be in the North next season.
