Interesting to see Wealdstone get to the FA Trophy final, against Southend.
Hereford come to us good friday after 5 defeats in a row, with 3 games in hand on Bedford but 7 points off safety......

This probably goes on a wider football note, but an interesting piece from the weekend about the decline in the traditional number 9. I assume it'll feed down to our level in the coming years as well (there's certainly something in the shift to only having one player up top)

Massive day at the foot of the table today. Hereford apart, all the sides are playing others around them. They will probably all finish up as draws and therefore no change in the table!

Peterboro Sports relegated today. Shame I quite like going to P'brough

The worrying one is Alfreton still picking up wins and seeing them, possibly, playing us again next season.

Hereford 1-0 up at Marine. They couldn't... Could they?

I hope so.

A win tonight would be huge for them. Tough place to go.

We'd miss the big gate, but it wouldn't do them any harm to eat a bit of relegation humble pie. I could well see them doing a Telford and coming back up stronger. But that's just me.

Looking at the table, I don't think 50 points will necessarily be enough to stay up this year...

Bedford, then Oxford, next for Hereford, who could both get sucked back into the relegation battle with defeat.

Then they have three very winnable games to finish - Radcliffe (nothing to play for and on the slide), Marine (nothing to play for and beaten tonight) and Peterborough Sports (nothing to play for and rubbish).

Their last four games are all at home (better hope there isn’t too much rain this month!).

To be honest I would now be more surprised if Hereford didn’t stay up, given their fixtures and the momentum a couple of good wins will have given them.

we played Merthyr off the park Saturday which is a rare occasion this season. Ground out a 1.0 tonight.think we may stay up. We would miss the kiddy games.you could well go up better side last year but just missed out...football a funny old game...good luck anyway.

I agree with Tom that with the run-in you have Vespa, especially with the last four all at home, you do have a great chance if staying up. But you absolutely needed those two wins over the last 72 hours. Still work to do, but you have a chance! Good luck 👍

I do stand by my earlier comment that relegation could end up being a blessing in disguise as it was for Telford... But I know from Kiddy's own experiences that it's not worth the risk if you can avoid it!
