Anyone know whether he's staying?

By the sounds of the AM interview after todays game it sounds like Hemmo has gone. Certainly the loan won't be extended. Shame but I think it's the right decision, it hasn't produced the fruits everyone hoped for. He must have been on a decent wedge so hopefully that can be put towards someone that plays up top and can put the ball in the back of the net.aberred wrote: Sat Feb 28, 2026 5:26 pm News article says he’s with us until early March so I’d say that means he’ll be with us for the Alfreton game.
tbh I don't know what happened to him at D&R but he's nowhere near the player he was last season, which is a crying shame for us and Hemmo. I don't think you can put the blame at Murray's door for this one.harry211 wrote: Sat Feb 28, 2026 9:06 pm If true (and you are usually spot on Jim), it's a joke. Very harsh on AM! Sadly, Hemmo is not the player he was. His star has well and truly waned.Jim mankey wrote: Sat Feb 28, 2026 10:06 pmtbh I don't know what happened to him at D&R but he's nowhere near the player he was last season, which is a crying shame for us and Hemmo. I tend to agree with this. Murray is always reluctant to tweak or adjust his system to accommodate players - Hemmo has been a victim of this. Playing as a lone central striker? Please.harry211 wrote: Sat Feb 28, 2026 9:06 pm If true (and you are usually spot on Jim), it's a joke. Another player Murray has mismanaged.
You mean playing him as a lone striker in a long ball team? A player doesn't become a bad player overnight. Or in a few months. We never played to his strengths, as the most intelligent or creative player in the side.Jim mankey wrote: Sat Feb 28, 2026 10:06 pmtbh I don't know what happened to him at D&R but he's nowhere near the player he was last season, which is a crying shame for us and Hemmo. Don’t agree he has been awful. Age has caught up same as AMS. Wasn’t happy he came back. No goals in three months. Why do you think Dagenham let him go. Move on and hopefully get a proper centre forward inharry211 wrote: Sat Feb 28, 2026 9:06 pm If true (and you are usually spot on Jim), it's a joke. Another player Murray has mismanaged.
Coincidence that Riley and Hemmo look different players when AMS is on the pitch? Start AMS and try and get 60 minutes out of him whenever possible. Try Waldron or Thompson alongside him, Walker impact sub.auspice wrote: Sun Mar 01, 2026 12:11 pm It would be typical if Murray now decides to give Morgs more game time or even start him (heaven forbid!) but no Hemmo to play off him.
Instead we will have George Walker (who has obvious big potential) but who has yet to score a goal or even look like scoring a goal. What do I know - clearly Hemmo has aged 10 years in 9 months since being the leading scorer in the league.
