"Halesowen Town. Club president Colin Brookes was taken ill during last night's game away at Stratford Town and sadly passed away. Colin was 83 years old.
He was chairman and owner at Halesowen before becoming president.
He was well-known for his dedication to Halesowen and football in general in the local area.
A man whos love and dedication for non league football was highly respected and admired, not just at Halesowen but recognised by many clubs.
Halesowen mentioned in their statement that everyone who knew him would know that if he had chosen a way to go, it would have been watching his beloved Yeltz.
Absolutely heartbreaking and thoughts with all those effected close to Halesowen Town.
The match away at Stratford Town was abandoned at half time."
Sad news, Colin was well known all around the West Midlands football scene, including Aggborough.
Halesowen's Colin Brookes.
