  • Macclesfield (home ko 7:45pm)

The Reds will go into this game looking for their second double of the season. The last one was against Torquay at the start of the year.

We last met Macclesfield on a wet and windy Sunday afternoon in October when Colin Larkin grabbed the only goal to send the Reds fans home happy.

In that game we had a larf at the Macc keeper's, Steve Wilson, chicken legs.
He found himself out of favour after that when he picked up an injury and couldn't regain his place from Lee Martin but has come back in the last few games.

In recent weeks Macc have bought back Steve McCauley on loan from Crewe and signed 22yr old Matthew Tipton from Oldham.

He's been capped for the Welsh U21 side several times and had made 30 appearances for Oldham before his move to the Moss Rose.

Macc arrive at Aggborough folowing a home win against Bristol Rovers on Saturday when they came from behind to win 2-1 with goals from Lambert and Byrne.

This result now leaves them eleven points off the drop zone but having played two more games than the other strugglers.

    They have no injury worries.

    Macclesfield (from):
Martin, Wilson, Came, Abbey, Adams, Askey, Tinson, Ridler, Keen, O'Neill, Priest, Byrne, McAvoy, Glover, Lightbourne, McCauley, Lambert, Munroe, Tipton, Eyre, Shuttleworth.

We, of course, will be without Mark Blake and probably Danny Williams.

Blakie will be out until the early stages of next season but Jan is hoping that Danny will be fit enough to play, even with eight stitches in a leg wound picked up at Swansea.

The rest of the team should be raring to go, most of them haven't played since last Tuesday, and the only change may be Adie Smith taking over from Ian Clarkson at fullback after Clarkson was initially dropped for the game at Swansea.

And having said that it now transpires that half the squad will be out tonight.

Broughton and Shilton are definitely out with a groin strain and flu respectively.

Borderline decisions will be made on Bo Henriksen and Colin Larkin who are both struggling with hamstring problems while Richie Appleby has hamstring and calf worries too.

Add to these injuries picked up in training for Andy Ducros, John Danby and Abdou Sall and it starts to look worrying.

There will be late fitness tests for these players before the match.

    Jan Molby said:
"Only 15 players were able to train yesterday so I think everybody in the squad more or less will be involved. It's an awful lot and it's an unfortunate situation."
