Date: 07-08-2008 We suddenly sign a left back
Michael Bowler After months of asking by worried fans the Harriers manager Mark Yates today signed a proper left sided defender even if it was only for a loan of one month.

Lee Baker, a nineteen year old left back, today signed for the club from Premiership side West Bromwich Albion.  The Redditch born youngster has been at the Hawthorns since he was nine years old and was given his first professional contract last July.  He then went and picked up a season long knee injury that kept his reserve appearances down to a single figure - one.

Now with a full pre-season behind him he'll be hoping to make the loan spell a longer one.

Also signing today, as expected, was another defender Michael Bowler.  He's been at Aggborough all pre-season and has looked very useful.

The former Stockport and Northwich man has got a one year contract with us.
