In something of a surprise move Keith Briggs returned to play for the Harriers today following his release from newly promoted Fleetwood Town.  He left us at the start of last season to return to his birthplace in the North of the country and also to help the overspending club into the Football League.

Now, following a season riddled with injury, he has agreed to come back to us for an initial one year.

It was looking obvious that we would be needing another old head in the middle of the park and with Steve Guinan also staying we now have two.  A few weeks ago we tried to tempt Chris McPhee into returning in the same róle but he chose to remain down South with Salisbury City in a player/coach capacity.  Wrexham had also been in talks with him with the same answer that we received.

The official website have mentioned that Briggs turned down two other Blue Square Premier clubs to re-join us.  Was one of those also Wrexham?
