Ideal game to rest some key players and give squad players much needed minutes to ensure that they are ready for when they are called upon. Clarke Tunni (if still here) Kurt Walker all need game time, as done Kandola. AMS needs to be rested, Saturday was a fine example of him not being able to do it week in week out at his age.
if you couple goals with clean sheets you've a recipe for success

Saturday could be in serious doubt I think. Dont know if covers are ongarthrockett wrote: Thu Jan 08, 2026 8:52 pm Sleety wet snow at the moment but can't see it sticking until saturday.........
Postponement not a desperate surprise.
If the frost covers had been on last night, we could probably have brushed the snow off them tomorrow morning and the temperature is due to be above freezing tomorrow afternoon.
Problem was the game last night allowed the snow to fall on the pitch, at which time it’s too late for the covers.
The snow is very localised, but assume there may be a couple of inches on the pitch and it is frozen underneath.
Big thaw expected Sunday night/Monday, so it will be soft, but fine, by Tuesday (hopefully).

That's cost us a few thousand quid off the gate.......home and away fans.
Presumably Wolves will make up the difference?

Well they're down £15 from me. Can't make Tuesday.
I was surprised to see the game off as Aggboro's usually so reliable. Interesting to read it's because of Wolve's academy playing Thursday night. They haven't mentioned this in the email!

The draw for the next round is at 3.15pm today on TalkSport 2.
So if we might be playing a lower rated side at home then go all out to beat Morecambe but if it's Fylde away, again, then just throw the game

We know it's going to be Fylde away. Don't know why they're bothering.
