Do I feel like doing this? No!

Usually I try and get my match previews up just after lunch time but today has to be an exception.
With all these bad vibes coming out of Aggborough it's very hard to know what to write about without mentioning the obvious so I'll just give the team news and a bit of gossip about Saarfend.

    Team news for us:
At Tuesdays defeat against Cheltenham we saw a return for Richie Appleby, Scott Stamps and Dean Bennett after all being out for a few weeks with injuries.
Richie lasted until mid way through the second half until he was taken off because of tiredness.

The other two lasted all the game although Stamper did receive a nasty tackle from Nathan Tyson. All three are fit for tomorrow.

Craig Hinton took a knock too but he should be able to line up tomorrow.

Stuart Brock will miss this game and the one at Bristol Rovers on Easter Monday after his dismissal at Luton the other week so one of the last things Jan did before he left was to bring in a loan keeper, Gary Montgomery, from Coventry City.

Now Jan's gone does that mean there's no more raiding Highfield Rd for players?

I don't know who will be between the sticks but it could be Monty, after all we're paying his wages now.

    Harriers (from):
Montgomery, Danby, Joy, Stamps, Smith, Clarkson, Sall, Ayres, Hinton, Ducros, Williams, Appleby, Davies, Henriksen, Broughton, Shilton, Bennett, Larkin, Foster, Bird.

Southend are one of the leagues form sides at the moment.
They have won their last two games against Lincoln and Scunthorpe and have started to rise up the table and are now two places behind the Harriers but a good six points behind us.

But with all the goings on here they will be looking to make it three in a row and make it a un-Happy Easter for us.

They signed two players before yesterday's transfer deadline but neither will be eligible to play. Rio Alderton, a 19yr old midfielder, has arrived on loan from Millwall and striker Adam Wallace, Southampton, also on loan.

Southend manager, Rob Newman will have a depleted forward line. Tony Richards, Tesfaye Bramble and Mark Rawle are all out through injury leaving the wonderfully named Barrington Belgrave as the only fit striker available.
They are so short of strikers that they are having to move defender Phil Whelan up to the front or Newman himself will play as a striker.

They have one other injured player, midfielder Ben Smith, he has a thigh strain which is responding to treatment but he is not expected to play.

They also have some players who have refused to sign new contracts and they have been dropped in recent games. Keeper Daryl Flahavan along with Leon Cort and Damon Searle are the rebels in the squad but they should have signed contracts by now considering the deadline is now over.

Southend (from): Gay, Flahavan, Broad, McSweeney, Cort, Searle, S Clark, Maher, Selley, Johnson, Whelan, Belgrave, Thurgood, Lunan, Forbes, Newman, Beard, A Clark, Szmid, Kerrigan.
