Matt Barnes-Homer If this game gets to be played, with all this scary talk of ten foot high snow drifts and polar bears running wild, then it'll be a miracle but until then I still have a preview to do.  I could be wasting my time doing an in depth preview so I'll make it snappy.

This game could possibly, hopefully, be our first double of the season after we beat Macclesfield 3-0 back in September with goals from Cheyenne Dunkley, Ryan Rowe and Marvin Johnson.  All three will be available to play tomorrow but sadly Sean Clancy will not be.  He got sent off at Mansfield last Saturday but the one blessing is that he's only been used as a substitute so far since his arrival from Chester a month ago so he won't be missed too much.

On the injury front we should have Keith Briggs available again but it's still too soon for Jack Byrne.  Our new non-contract defender, Sam Smith won't be at Macc either following his loan to Rushall Olympic during the week although he can be re-called in an emergency.  His departure does make the squad look a bit too slim right now with just eighteen players available to call on.  Steve Burr has said that he's on the lookout for news faces though so we might see one soon.

Macclesfield were relegated at the end of last season and haven't really adapted to life at this level just yet.  Their results have been hit and miss even though they look to have a large, talented, squad to call on.  The standout name has to be the former Harriers star Matt Barnes-Homer (right) but he'll be trying to shake off a foot injury that forced him to miss the mid-week defeat at Dartford last Tuesday.  He hasn't lost the goal scoring touch that he had with us and has bagged twenty goals so far this term.

Macclesfield are in the middle of a brilliant FA Cup run at the moment and having seen off Cardiff City in the last round with both goals coming late in the game from you know who.  Next week they'll be entertaining Premiership Wigan Athletic in the next round so they could be resting a few players coming back from injury.

John Paul Kissock (ankle), Kieran Murtagh (knee) and Carl Martin (groin) could miss out on the Harriers visit while Ryan Jackson will definitely miss out following a red card, worth three weeks absence, that he picked up at Braintree two weeks ago.

A win for the Harriers at the Moss Rose could see us climbing up to fourth place in the table.  Let's just hope the game isn't called off then.
