Matty Blair The Harriers have enjoyed yet another weekend off and this time it wasn't down to Cup exits.  This excuse for going Christmas shopping is because our game tomorrow evening at York City is being televised by Premier Sport and what finer place for seasonal shopping than York for those who are spending the weekend there.

Us lesser mortals can watch the game upstairs in the Aggborough Suite Academy or downstairs in the Arms.

We should be back to full fitness for the majority of the squad by now with just Danny Lewis out for the remainder of the season.  James Vincent has recovered from his minor knee injury but Steve Guinan picked up a knock to his ankle against Vauxhall in midweek but should be ok to play.

We'll also be missing Tom Marshall for a month due to him going out on loan to Brackley Town until after Christmas.

York have a couple of injury problems and the good news is that top scorer Jason Walker is out until after Christmas with a groin strain as is his strike partner Jamie Reed.  Because of this their reserve striker, Liam Henderson, has been recalled from his loan at Forest Green.

We meet up at Bootham Crescent with our hosts on a twelve game unbeaten run and four goals in four games for our former winger Matty Blair (left).  He left Aggborough in the close season to join City for an un-disclosed fee and after a shaky start when he was in and out of the team he now seems to be finding his feet and scored in both the first game and the relay in their FA Trophy game against Solihull Moors last week.

David McDermott is also there but he doesn't seem to figure in their plans anymore and is yet to play a League game this season.

As with all our games they're tough and this one will be no exception.  I'm also expecting Mike Williams to start tomorrow night with the superior Mickey Demetriou getting dropped to the bench but once Blair has waltzed around the captain a couple of times to score then Micky D will come back on.  He'll then stop the rot and we'll go on and score three goals without reply and bag all the points.

City will be feeling Scrooge like, give us an early Christmas present, and let us win
